Since our inception in September 2015, we have been at the forefront of nurturing and showcasing the talents of those drawn to this exquisite art form. At Nrityapriya Dance Academy, we delve into the intricacies of Kuchipudi, imparting both its technical finesse and rich storytelling elements. Our curriculum is designed to instill a profound respect for the dance, allowing students to immerse themselves fully in its cultural essence. Our performances have adorned the stages of prestigious events such as Nada-Neerajanam at Tirumala, ‘Nauka Charitam’ at Ravindra Bharathi and the Ugadi festival at Dwaraka Tirumala. ABOUT ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Swapna Krishnamohan is the visionary director of Nrityapriya Dance Academy.
in Nallagandla a kuchipudi prodigy from age four, she has performed at prestigious events and taught at Western Washington University. Swapna holds dual master’s degrees in Performing Arts and Computer Applications. With a rich career spanning dance and technology, she has led her academy for eight years, shaping countless aspiring dancers. Her gurus, including Sri Yeleswarapu Suryaprakasa Sharma and Smt. Uma Rama Rao, have deeply influenced her. As a certified Heartfulness Trainer, Swapna has dedicated over fifteen years to yogic practices, enriching lives through her work with the Heartfulness Education Trust.
